Manakula Vinayagar – PONDICHERRY - INDIA - blessing his ardent devotees sitting over a pond!

"Vinayaka who lives in a region bounded by sand". To the Eastern side of the temple lie the sea and the sands. Inside the temple, there is a small pond, which the priest will show to the devotee with the help of lit camphor. Though the pond is close to the sea, the water is clear. Adored with golden kavacham, vaira vaidooriyam, a must see place and the lord blesses his sincere devotees in abundance!!!

Worshipped by Mother and Aurobindo of Pondicherry! Admired and worshipped by French who were convinced by Lords power!! Adored by Kanchi Periavaa!!! Kuladeivam and saviour to local devotees!!! Very Old Temple with Siddhars still around?

Kengal Anjaneya Swamy Temple - near Channapatna - Karnataka - India.

The reigning deity of the temple is a five-and-half-foot tall Hanuman sporting a moustache. Meesai Hanuman!!!!!!!!!!!

Tradition recounts that sage Vyasaraya, carried out installation rituals after realizing the special properties of a rock, which looked like the monkey god, Hanuman. Hanuman here was the third among the 108 Praana deva instated by Shri Vyasaraya. The idol is made out of red stone and hence the name kengal (Kempu kallu) hanumantha, which literally means red stone in Kannada.

The idol was initially facing south, and has gradually turned facing east during the course of time. Thus it is now possible to see frontal view of the face.

The “karunai kataksham” of Anjaneyar in this temple is so good and benign that while with the look from one eye Sri Anjaneya is ensuring that the Chudamani given by Maata and held in his hand is safe he does not fail to bless the devotees with his kataksham from the other eye.

Devotees throng this temple and Lord answers their sincere prayers only if the same is for good cause!

SRI RAM JAYA RAM JAYA JAYA RAM!

The Hanuman Temple in Kengal is also the birth place of Kengal Hanumanthaiah who is said to be the brain behind the construction of Vidhana Soudha (the seat of Legislature) in Bangalore. This Anjaneyar is Patronized by lot of people in power from ages.

see the photo of Kengal Anjaneya Swamy in photos.
